23 september 1975PAUL McCARTNEY & WINGS
Caird Hall Tour advert published in music press. Original ticket stub. Photo of Wings taken at Dundee gig. This gig happened to land on Linda's birthday, and at the end of the show, a large cake was wheeled on stage while the horns section played "Happy Birthday" in a New Orleans style arrangement. Film footage was taken at this gig too as part of a documentary about Wings on tour. |

12 october 1976SEX PISTOLS
Technical College (aka Bowling Alley) Gig guide published in music press. Although the Sex Pistols gig at the tech was listed in the music press, it was actually published 3 weeks too early on the wrong date (22 Sept)! 12 Oct 76 is the correct date. 12-16 October 1976FRANKIE VAUGHAN
(with Flamingoes) Barracuda Gig advert published in local press. When the Sex Pistols were in town for their gig at Tech College, the band were observed trying to get into this Frankie Vaughan show. Needless to say, they didn't get through the door! It is documented that the Pistols and Frankie were booked into the same hotel and had breakfast in the same dining room. |

23 november 1977EATER
(with Monotones) Ambassador Hotel Tour advert published in music press. Poor ticket sales in Edinburgh & Falkirk forced Eater to cancel the Dundee gig because it would have been uneconomical to travel to Scotland for a one-off show, despite advance tickets for Dundee selling well. |
